As the new lineup is rounding out and full rehearsals begin, I thought it a good idea to drop a quick FYI about events coming up.

Facebook is an amazing thing. One day I’m wondering whatever happened to what’s-his-face or ol’ whats-her-name. Next day, the past comes rushing back; and not in a trickle folks – in a torrent, a deluge, an absolute wave. You get the idea.

On June 27, my long lost Okie family and I are getting together at Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees to play some music and reminisce. This is an outdoor all-ages show open to anyone – no matter where you’re from. Good people, good music – good times.

It’s been a while, but I’ve done a few opry shows in the past. Every time I’ve run into Elijah Chastain over the past few years, we’ve talked about a Middle Creek show, so I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to do some traditional Country with a group of incredible musicians.
