A native of Oklahoma, Mootz's songs are a rich offering of family and random strangers, attitude and humility, sin and redemption and home.
Religious seeds grew into rock and roll rebellion. Drawn to the power of melodic Heavy Metal, Mootz fronted a band of young angst until, unfulfilled and uncertain of his musical future, Mootz opted to pursue the influences of his childhood - Presley, Cash and Hank Williams - held captive by the honesty in their art, intimacy within their "entertainment" and open expressions of personal belief.
In his life, Mootz has never denied music its due, producing in recent years 2 CDs: the autobiographical "Little World" and the follow-up, self-titled "Mootz Moody Band", opening a window into the eclectic influences of a son of the dust bowl.
